In the wake of his wife's successful yields, M.B invested in a brand-new property for the profits of short-term lettings, which according to him are significantly higher than long-term ones.

The Customer's Story

Before partnering with CityHost London, M.B. was already a witness of the lucrative benefits of short-term rentals, as his wife Amaan (see Case Study 2) had been doing business with us long before the pandemic. In 2020, in the midst of COVID-19, M.B. made the fearless decision to invest in his first property which, at that time, was still under construction. The development located in Nine Elms was finally completed in 2021, one year after its purchase.

Solution

In May 2021, M.B. contacted us to start putting the business plan into action. Due to the Pandemic, M.B and his wife had moved to Southeast Asia and couldn't be present to design the staging and decoration of his newlypurchased apartment. However, he trusted that Eli Santos would be the right agent to get the apartment ready for future guests coming to the city once the travel restrictions were raised. He was confident in the property's potential and, most importantly, had a trustworthy agent in charge of his new 'gold mine'. We took measurements of the property during the first inspection so we could start the staging and furnishing process. In spite of M.B.'s limited budget, we were still able to acquire high-quality furniture and appliances at the most affordable prices. The final look of the property was absolutely stunning, with a spacious double bedroom and an en-suite on the 17th floor. It appears to have been taken from a modern design magazine. The short-term rental market wasn't very vibrant in 2021 due to travel restrictions, so for the first months, he opted to do a long-term rental, which, according to him, wasn't as profitable as short rentals.
